Crannog in Lough Iron,cullenhugh

Situated on the NE shore of Lough Iron, and would have been in the water prior to drainage of the Inny River in the 1960s. According to the local landowner a group of oak posts were visible protruding above the surface of the reclaimed lake after the Inny River drainage in the late 1960s (pers. comm. Oliver Ennis). Crannóg now visible as a low rise of ground with no visible remains of oak posts. Could be the same site as WM011-005----, but this is not certain.
