Crannog in Derryronan hides inside a boggy depression in County Mayo, though no trace remains above ground. Reclamation work exposed possible remains, suggesting people once shaped that wet earth into a home or refuge. The clay may have swallowed the wood, stone and ordinary life built there, leaving only a vague hollow where human hands made a place to stand against the water.

In a natural depression of boggy ground. Listed in the SMR (1991) and the RMP (1996) based on a report from a local source that remains of a possible crannog were seen when reclamation works were undertaken in this area.
