The oval grass-covered cairn sits on a subcircular platform in wetland off a small island at the E end of Upper Lough Gara. Upright posts define the S edge, while hollow bronze rings were found on the platform.

Oval grass-covered cairn (dims. 7.5m E-W; 4.5m N-S; H 0.5m) on a subcircular grass-covered platform (diam. 25m E-W; 23m N-S; H 0.5m) defined by upright posts at S.
