Crannog in Ballyreagh, County Fermanagh: an artificial island or lake dwelling, E.CHRIST.. Crannog means a built island, a small house world made in water. If people lived there, they faced rain, reeds, firelight and the risk of drowning every day. The name still sounds like a room built against the lake.
