Craigie Doubs is a sea cliff composed primarily of Silurian greywacke, formed around 430 million years ago through sedimentation and subsequent lithification in a deep marine environment. The cliff is notable for its resistant rock type, which has withstood coastal erosion to form a prominent and enduring coastal feature.
