Craigencat Craigs is a sea cliff composed of Silurian greywacke and mudstone, formed around 440–420 million years ago during sedimentary deposition in a deep marine environment. The site is notable for its exposure of ancient volcanic and sedimentary rock layers, which are part of the Dalradian Supergroup and provide insight into Scotland’s early geological history.
