Cowden Castle

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Cowden Castle as Castle (14th Century), Country House (17th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Cowden Castle was originally built in the 14th century and later converted into a country house in the 17th century. It is remembered for its historical evolution and as an example of medieval and early modern Scottish architecture.
