What is recorded here
Detached three-bay single-storey former gate lodge, built c.1880, now in use as private house. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystack and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls. Timber bay windows flanking projecting timber porch. Glazed timer door. Bounded by rendered wall and gate piers with pair of cast-iron gates.
The modest form of this building is enhanced by the retention of many original features and materials, such as the timber bay windows and slate roof. The former gate lodge forms part of a related group with Courthill House and outbuildings.
