Rathlackan holds a court tomb where massive stones still mark the edge of a forgotten burial place. The structure belongs to the megolithic tradition, suggesting people once gathered there to honour the dead beneath open sky. Its survival in County Mayo transforms a quiet field into a bridge across centuries, inviting wonder about the hands that lifted the stone and the lives they chose to remember.
