What is recorded here

Court Castle is a squat, U-shaped tower on the River Maigue whose curved southern face and missing height have defeated easy explanation for centuries. Built before 1583 and later called the Pigeon House, it still stands with a vaulted chamber, ruined staircase and plain pointed door, as if waiting to be read rather than judged. It may have been half a gatehouse, an experiment, or simply a house for a river that changed the rules.
Court Castle is recorded as a castle in County Limerick. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
Court Castle in County Limerick was built in the 13th century by the Fitzgerald family, powerful Norman lords in Ireland. It is remembered as a symbol of their influence and as a strategic stronghold during the medieval period.
