Coshogle Castle

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Coshogle Castle as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Coshogle Castle was a medieval stronghold, likely built by a local noble family in the 14th or 15th century. It is remembered as an example of Scotland's rich network of small castles that played a role in regional defense and land control during the medieval period.
