Towards the N crest of a broad E-W ridge. Rectangular grass-covered area (dims 35m NW-SE; 33m NE-SW) defined by earthen banks (Wth 2.5-4.7m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.8-1.2m) on all sides except the NW, separated by flat-bottomed moats (Wth of top 3-6.6m; Wth of base 2-2.5m; D 1-1.1m) from interrupted sections of outer banks (Wth 3.2-5m; ext. H 0.2-0.5m). There are traces of a second outer moat or quarry (Wth of base 1.4m; D 0.3m) at NE. There is an entrance through the inner (Wth 3.2m) and outer (Wth 4.6m) banks, but no causeway, at the centre of the NE side (max. ext. dims 51m NW-SE; 49m NE-SW).
