Commore, Lady's Well

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Commore, Lady's Well as Holy Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Commore Lady's Well is traditionally associated with a local saint or holy figure, possibly linked to a Marian devotion given the name "Lady's Well," a common designation for springs dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Scotland. Such wells were often sites of pilgrimage and healing rituals, with water believed to have curative properties, particularly for women's ailments or fertility.
