Explorer Tom National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks gateway on Arbour Hill is a cut limestone entrance from 1815 with a segmental arch. It has double-leaf timber gates and wrought-iron spikes. The stonework is high quality with calp and granite. Take a photo of the wheel-stop if you can!

Explorer Tom Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in County Dublin used to be a school for kids near the barracks. It’s now a church with terracotta ridge crestings. Say hello to the holy geometry!

Arbour Hill PrisonStables · 141 yd

Explorer Tom Arbour Hill Prison stables had horses and history. Now it’s just bricks remembering how to gallop. There’s a tunnel under the road. Probably full of ghosts.

Ard na GaoitheOfficer's house · 141 yd

Explorer Tom Ard na Gaoithe in Arbour Hill is an officer's house from 1845, standing guard by the prison. It’s got a two-storey porch that looks like it’s about to yell at you for being late. Wave at the limestone elevations for me, they’re quite proud of their masonry.

Royal BarracksBarracks · 171 yd

Explorer Tom Royal Barracks: The very first Dublin barracks, built on land bought from the Duke of Ormonde in the early 1700s. It sounds like a real estate deal where the landlord got paid in military discipline and noise.

Explorer Tom Cathedral. Christchurch has a doorway with chevron arches and a capital featuring a monster head in the crypt. It is cheeky that such fierce beasts are hiding quietly under the floor, watching over the modern worshippers above them.
