Limestone kerbing, c. 1840.
Limestone kerbing, which forms an attractive, subtle roadside feature, indicative of the skill of nineteenth century craftsmen. Unfortunately, they are becoming increasingly rare in Ireland, being replaced with mass-produced cement substitutes. This section is the only one remaining in Cobh.
