Cnoc Breamanach rises to approximately 500 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Cowal Peninsula. Its name, derived from Gaelic, may relate to early settlement or land use, though specific folklore is not widely recorded. The hill contributes to the regional character of Argyll's upland landscape.
