Gateway, c.1800, comprising pair of limestone ashlar piers with carved cut-limestone cornices supporting cut-limestone capping, wrought iron double gates, painted roughcast curved flanking walls having cut-limestone chamfered coping, and limestone ashlar outer piers with carved cut-limestone cornices supporting cut-limestone capping. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Clone House.

An elegantly-appointed gateway exhibiting a formal, almost Classical quality lacking in either the main house or the attendant farmyard complex. Displaying high quality stone masonry the aesthetic value of the composition is further enhanced by the retention of early iron work.
