Situated on a little N-S spur at the S foothills of Carrickbyrne Hill. A stone which is probably a shale is oriented NE SW and has a rectangular cross section at the base and a blunted pointed top (dims. 1.1-1.3m x 0.4 0.5m; H 3.2m). It is described as 'Clochnabran' (Bran - raven?) on the 1839 and 1925 eds of the OS 6-inch map. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
