Single-arch rubble stone road bridge over river, c.1825. Random squared rubble stone walls with dressed limestone rounded coping to parapets. Single round arch with rusticated limestone voussoirs, and rubble stone soffits having remains of render over. Sited spanning Clodiagh River with grass banks to river.

An elegantly-composed modest-scale bridge representing an important element of the early to mid nineteenth-century civil engineering heritage of County Kilkenny. Exhibiting a traditional construction in barely-refined locally-sourced stone with Classically-derived dressings displaying high quality stone masonry the bridge forms an appealing feature rising above the Clodiagh River.
