What is recorded here
Clochan in Ceathrú An Teampaill stands roofless on bare limestone, its large blocks set on edge to form a small subcircular chamber near the SW cliff of Inis Meáin. The lower corbels still protrude where a roof once leaned inward, while collapse now fills the interior and a SE doorway opens toward a possibly later annexe. It is the kind of place where human hands shaped stone against Atlantic weather, yet time has stripped away most of the life that gave it form.
On bare limestone some 120m from cliff edge on SW side of Inis Meáin. Known locally as Clochán Poll Dick, this roofless clochan is subcircular in plan (NW-SE 3.4m, NE-SW 3.2m) and built of large limestone blocks set on edge. The lower course of roof corbels survive. A doorway at SE leads to a possibly later annexe. The interior is choked with collapse. (Robinson 1980)
