Clochan in An Choill Mhór was a small stone structure in County Kerry, but even its shape and position changed between map editions before disappearing entirely. One chart showed two standing stones and a rectangular building, the next showed a circular structure slightly further south-east, and now rough wet pasture covers the place where either version belonged. The land kept the name while taking back the stones, leaving behind a ghost of a building that may have been a house, a marker or a memory.

The available information regarding the precise location and classification of this site is confused. On the 1st edition of the OS map it was shown as a line of 2 standing stones and a small rectangular building and it was named 'Cloghauns'. On the 2nd edition, a circular structure, named 'Cloghauns' was marked about 20-30m SE of the position on the 1st edition. There is now no trace of either clochaun or standing stones at the site which lies in rough wet pastureland on the SE slopes of the Owenmore valley. The above description is derived from J.
