Situated on the N slope of a steep ravine overlooking a river. Only the SE portion of a large bivallate enclosure survives consisting of a platform enclosed by two earth and stone banks with a wide flat-bottomed intervening fosse (Wth 5m) (inner bank: Wth 2m; int H 0.5m; ext. H 1m) (outer bank: Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.7m). The slope of the ravine forms a natural defence at N. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
