Born Chapmanslade 21 June 1867 died Bow, East London 10 October 1949 Recorded plaque organisation: Frome Society for Local Study, Frome and District Civic Society.
Clara Grant was a pioneering teacher and educationalist who founded the Fern Street Settlement to improve conditions for the poor in London; she invented the Farthing Bundles scheme to encourage savings among children.
