Cistern in Dublin South City is a cistern in County Dublin, Ireland. Perhaps it stood near St Michaels Church in 1323, holding water for prayers or washing hands before meals. Maybe its stones still lie buried under pavement, waiting for rain to fill them again. Imagine a keeper pouring water into a brass basin while church bells rang across the city.
Clarke mentions the former existence of a cistern near St Michaels Church in 1323 (2002, 28). Not precisely located.
