The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Short rectangular cist (int. dims. c. 0.8m x c. 0.5m; orientation NE-SW) contained crouched inhumation, head to N with bowl on side in front of face. Excavated 1974 (Carloviana 1974, 21-4).

Cist in Sliguff is a small stone burial chamber, typically associated with the Early Christian or Bronze Age periods. Its significance lies in providing insights into early burial practices and funerary architecture in the region.
