What is recorded here

The discovery of a cist on the land of Mr. Thomas O'Connor, N.T., Coolroe, Ballyhar, Co. Kerry was recorded by H. G. Leask in 1931 (SMR file). The cist was found three feet [0.91m] under the ground and was covered by flag stones. It is also recorded that on top of the flagstones was an R.I.C. top plate of helmet. This cist has not been precisely located and it could be in either Coolroe East or Coolroe West.
