Cist in Coolnamona

In 1734 a cist of rough flags covered by earth and stones was discovered (O'Byrne, 1856,18). Exact location unknown. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
