Cist in Commons OF Lloyd

Cist

What is recorded here

Three cists were found within a quarter of a mile of the Hill of Lloyd, one of which was said to contain a ‘Cinerary Urn’ (Healy 1891). However, no details are available and the exact location and even the townland name are not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revision: 25 February 2019

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
