Cist in Brackloon (corkaguiny By.)

In the SMR and the RMP a cist (KE045-083002-) was associated with the standing stone (KE045-083001-). According to Cuppage (1986, 62), the cist was found a short distance south of rock art (KE045-082----) which is in the same field as the standing stone. Cist described by Cuppage (1986, 62) as follows; 'A standing stone (86) [KE045-083001-], cup-marked stone [KE045-082----] and possible cist are grouped in close proximity to one another, overlooking the Anascaul valley from the level summit of a local E-W rise in generally undulating pasture at the foot of Knockafeehane. In the 1930's a grave with 'built-up sides, a covering flag and a skeleton inside' (local information) was discovered while ploughing a short distance S of the rock art.
