In a catalogue of cists, Waddell (1970, 120), based on information from the NMI, lists an example from Blanchfields Bog which is described as, 'a small 'stone coffin' found c. 1918 in a mound on top of the hill known as 'The Breagan'; three vase food vessels and cremated bones found in cist'.
