Mound and field preserve the lost church. The Taxation of 1291 named the place, while Power recorded a cillin or early church site within a possible ecclesiastical enclosure. Now pasture covers the mound, yet the dimensions and name keep the building alive in the land.

In pasture, within possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (13899). Site of church marked by very low mound (c. 20m E-W; c. 10m N-S). Described by Power (1932, 124) as 'cillin or early church site...referred to in the Taxation of 1291'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
