Traditional belief and old maps claim an abbey stood beside the River Finn, yet no stone or ditch remains for anyone to touch. The valley has rewritten itself in wood and shadow, keeping the church hidden inside green noise rather than losing it entirely.

Traditionally believed to be the site of an 'Abbey' and marked as the site of a church on the OS 6-inch maps, there are no traces of any antiquity. The site is located in the valley of the River Finn in excellent but now wooded land. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
