Church (in Ruins)

In N side of graveyard (CO148-020001-) ruins of late-medieval church (L 22.42m, Wth 9.82m) extensively repaired in 1721 (Brady 1863, vol. 1, 248). Of earlier building, ogee-headed window near E end of N wall and exterior base batter to E gable are evident features. But central W door; large arched window opes in N, E and S walls; bellcote on west gable and chancel wall with large arched opening, all of eighteenth century date. Also of this date porch added to W gable (L 3.65m, Wth 3.75m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
