Ruined church and graveyard in County Carlow, Ireland, where fifteenth or sixteenth century granite quoins still mark the bones of the building. The chancel climbed a steep east-facing slope, and people later reused its quoins and a moulded window jamb as grave markers, bending the church's own stones into the work of remembering the dead. A distinct curve in the road suggests a circular enclosure once gathered the place, while recent repairs to the east gable and part of the north wall keep the ruin standing enough to be seen, entered, and misunderstood.

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 22 December 2009 Revised by: J. Farrelly Present remains consist of E portion of rectangular structure (min. L 5m; Wth 4.7m) of roughly coursed granite boulders, with some dressed granite quoins. Chancel is built on steep E-facing slope. Several quoins and a granite moulded window jamb are in use as grave markers; window jamb incorporated in stile at SW corner of graveyard (CW013-070002-). Quoins suggest fifteenth- or sixteenth-century date. Recent renovations of E gable and portion of N wall. Distinct curve in road, suggesting former circular enclosure.
