Site of 'old Church of Kilkerran' where 'old road called Crois-Bothar na Leannabh' from east meets the Ballinspittle-Ballinadee road; in penal days babies were brought to cross for baptism (O'Regan 1960, 29). Exact location not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
