Davies (1948, 98) records the tradition of a monastery at this location. Situated on the NW slope of a drumlin hill and SW of a stream. Not visible at ground level, and its precise location is not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
