What is recorded here

According to Holt (1912, 246), ‘the foundations of a small building about 18 feet by 18 feet [5.5m] reputed to have been a church' were located in Ballynacloghy at the W end of 'an unfinished famine road from Ahapouleen village. The W end of the building abutted a field bank and its NE corner was rounded. Holt (ibid.) suggested that 'if it ever served any religious function … it may have been a mass house’. Not located and local inquiries yielded not further information regarding it. However, a mass rock (GA102-) was pointed out a short distance to the N of the famine road.
