Chimpanzee Island

Chimpanzee Island is a tiny islet in County Dublin, small enough to vanish behind fog yet stubborn enough to keep its own name. The word chimpanzee sounds like a joke dropped into Irish seas, but the islet remains quiet, green and unexplained. Perhaps a shipwrecked trader laughed at the name and never left, or perhaps the sea simply prefers absurd company.
