Childrens Fort is a 36-metre circular ringfort on a Galway ridge, holding a central underground passage and a separate child-sized fort eight metres to the southwest. The name suggests the smaller structure was made for, given to, or remembered as belonging to children. The main fort may have been a household defensible space, while the smaller one may have been a playhouse, ritual marker, or domestic fixture. Whatever it was, the land kept both shapes alive.

On a ridge in undulating grassland. An overgrown circular ringfort (D c. 36m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The outer bank is revetted with stone; best preserved at NE. There is an entrance gap (Wth 2m) at E. Centrally placed within the interior is a probable Man-made underground passage (GA087-111001-). The name 'Children's Fort' refers to CBG (GA087-111003-) in the ringfort (GA087-111002-) located c. 8m to SW.
