Childrens Burial Ground is an overgrown subcircular area in level Galway grassland, measured nineteen by eleven and a half metres, with a thick hedge bordering three sides. Only one upright and one recumbent limestone marker survive, yet the small diameter and separate location suggest children lay beneath the grass. The hedge may have marked a boundary adults did not enter lightly, while the missing markers remind that childhood death was common enough to require its own ground.
