Under Craigashanney in County Donegal, a narrow strip of earth five and a half metres long holds children buried before written memory. A low upright stone marks the southern edge, standing like a sentinel over the smallest graves in the county. The rock towers above them, casting shadow across the place where the young departed, forgotten by history but preserved in stone and soil.

A small area, 5.5m N-S and 3m E-W, at the base of a rock called Craigashanney, is known as a 'children's burial ground'. There is a low upright stone at the S end.
