What is recorded here
In the 1940s a burial ground was recorded in Páirc an tSéipéil where unbaptised children were buried, though its precise location is not known. The place may still hold small bones beneath ordinary Kerry soil, waiting for someone to stop walking and listen for the silence that belongs to children rather than adults.
In the 1940s a burial ground was recorded 'in Páirc an tSéipéil where unbaptised children were buried' (Schools Manuscript, Co. Kerry). Its precise location is not known and it may be in that part of the townland which is on OS 6-inch sheet 68.
