Children died young in Farranreagh and adults carried them to a hidden oval basin where small slabs still mark the grass. The western bank has surrendered much of its shape to rain and time, yet the place keeps its identity as a ceallúnach, a name that sounds like a chamber waiting for breath. Adults may have believed the land needed its own boundary for the smallest lives, separating childhood from the adult fields above.

Situated less than 1km downslope from KE079-073----, this site, not marked on the OS maps, is also referred to locally as a ceallúnach. It consists of a raised area which is approximately oval in plan and measures 11m N-S x 21.5m E-W. It is delimited at its W edge by a severely eroded, curving earthen bank, which averages 1.1m high above external ground level. The N and E quadrants of the site contain large boulders, which appear to have been deposited during field clearance operations in the 1980s. A small number of low, uninscribed slabs stand in the interior. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
