Derrynabrock in County Mayo holds a rath where children were buried, though no graves remain visible inside. A low heap of stones beside an ash tree to the southwest may still mark those lost young lives, according to local tradition. The place quietly resists forgetting, keeping small deaths alive in stone and story while the wider world moves on.

At a possible rath (MA064-003001-). Aldridge (1969) recorded that this rath was used as children’s burial ground. No graves are now evident in the interior. Immediately to SW of the rath, there is a low, irregular-shaped heap (max. dim. c. 4-5m) of stones adjacent to an ash tree; according to local tradition, these stones may mark graves.
