What is recorded here
Cnoc Raithní hides a children's burial ground within four Galway fields, though no marker remains to identify the exact spot. The earth may still hold small bones beneath ordinary grass, waiting for someone brave enough to imagine their lives. Forgetting is easier than honoring what never received a grave, yet imagination can return them to the world.
According to local information a possible children's burial ground was located somewhere within the area of the four fields indicated at this location on the OS 6-inch map. There is no visible surface trace of any burial markers in these fields and the coordiantes for this record can only be considered as indicative of the area where the burial ground was reportedly located.
