What is recorded here
Templeline graveyard in Ballyline held a children's burial ground until the 1940s or 1950s. Its semicircular edge and uninscribed stones mark a place where young deaths were absorbed without announcement, while adults watched from a distance.
According to Swinfen (1992, 134) there is a tradition that children were buried at Templeline graveyard (CL010-087003-) up to 40-50 years before her time of writing. The graveyard comprises a roughly semicircular area and has a number of uninscribed gravestones.
