An Cheapaigh holds a circular children's burial ground on a sunny slope above Brandon Bay, where small bones may have rested beneath stones since before written memory. The sea likely sounded through the grass at night, accompanying the dead with constant motion. Adults probably chose this place because children belong to edge and change, not the heavy centre of adult life.

Roughly circular enclosure situated on a SE facing slope about 100m from the W shore of Brandon Bay. This site may be that described in the OSNB (Cloghane, book 1, 44) as a calluragh KE035-003001-, 'in the form of a fort and circular... and about 2 feet high composed chiefly of stones'.
