What is recorded here

No stone or wall remains, only a cliff-edge gap where a church stood before the sea took it. The 1842 map still called it ruins, but later maps dropped even that claim and wrote site of instead. Forgetting came in stages: first the building vanished, then the certainty it had existed at all.

Marked as 'Church (in ruins)' on 1842 OS 6-inch map, and 'site of' on later editions. Along cliff-edge; no visible surface trace.
