The Cerne Abbas Giant, or Cerne Giant, is a hill figure near the village of Cerne Abbas, in Dorset, England. It is currently owned by the National Trust, and listed as a scheduled monument of England.
The Cerne Abbas Giant is a large chalk figure carved into a hillside, dating back possibly to the Roman period or later. It is thought to represent the Roman god Mars or a Celtic deity, and is associated with local folklore and historical traditions, making it an important symbol of Dorset's ancient heritage.
