Ceann Garbh

Ceann Garbh is a sea cliff located in County Kerry, composed primarily of basalt formed during the Paleogene period, around 60 to 55 million years ago, as a result of volcanic activity associated with the opening of the North Atlantic. It is notable for its rugged coastal profile and potential links to the broader basaltic formations of the Kerry region, which are part of the Atlantic volcanic province.
